The University of Alabama English Language Institute is the perfect place to study Intensive English or English & Business. The ELI offers Intensive English Program for students from all around the world. Professional standards of the highest quality are extremely important to the ELI, which is accredited by CEA (Commission on English Language Program Accreditation) and is a member of UCIEP (University & College Intensive English Programs) and AAIEP (American Association of Intensive English Programs).
The English Language Institute (ELI) at the University of Alabama provides an excellent instruction and learning environment for all its students. Our focus is on the student and that is why our teachers are professionally trained and experienced instructors in teaching English as a second language.

ELI students have access to all student facilities at The University of Alabama, including libraries, computer labs, the Student Health Center, outdoor recreational facilities and the very popular Student Recreation Center.
In addition to campus-wide activities, you can participate in special cultural and recreational activities which the ELI plans for its students, including weekend trips to nearby cities and attractions as well as local activities.
The University of Alabama is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, a city of 90,000 people. Tuscaloosa has a relatively warm climate, with short winters and long summers, and is located close to major cities in the southeastern United States, such as Birmingham (1 hour by car), Atlanta (3 hours), Nashville (4 hours), and Memphis and New Orleans (5 hours). In addition, the city has received many quality-of-life accolades. It was named one of the 50 Best Places to Launch a Small Business and one of the 100 Best Communities for Young People. It was also named the most liveable City in America.
